Turquoise is said to improve the state of mind by encouraging serenity, sensitivity, happiness and wisdom. It holds a special importance in Native American culture because it was believed that it was a living mineral “stone of life” due to it’s ability to change colors in different settings. Medicine men would use turquoise as a healing stone. It was also cherished as a gem of good luck because it was believed to have fallen from the sky due it’s blue color.
